The God Delusion: Breaking Free from a Tailor-Made God

|| "True seekers of God long for a genuine relationship with Him, one that transforms them into His likeness, not merely for captivating experiences or personal gain." || "And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another." (2 Corinthians 3:18, ESV) In a world where personalization and self-expression reign supreme, where confusion and diversity of opinions dominate, it's essential that our understanding of God remains grounded in truth and not shaped by our own desires or biases. Yet, many unknowingly create a "god" in their own image, tailoring their faith to serve their personal interests and lusts. But what happens when we confuse our distorted reflections with the true nature of God? In this exploration, we'll delve into the dangers of idolatry and the importance of seeking the genuine God, as revealed in Scripture, to discover a faith that truly trans...

The Voices That Influence or shape us

Have you ever stopped to think about the voices that shape our lives? We're constantly being influenced by various opinions and perspectives, some of which can have a profound impact on our thoughts, beliefs, and actions.   Today, I want us to take a pause and ask ourselves, what has shaped my life, mentally, my views and etc. Upon introspection, we realize that our lives have been shaped by a multitude of voices, each contributing to our development. The dominant voice we've allowed to shape us is reflected in our disposition, which is often what others perceive when they interact with us. This realization prompts us to consider the sources of these voices, including our upbringing, culture, relationships, experiences, and personal choices.       The Voices That Shape Us - Education: What we learn in school, home and from our experiences. - Social opinions: What others think and say about us and the world around us...

Oneness in Christ: The Key to Unlocking Our Full Potential

As believers in Christ, we are called to be united in our faith, doctrine, and mind. But what does it mean to be one in Christ, and why is it so important? What is Oneness? Oneness is a state of being united or harmonious with someone or a group of people. What is Oneness in Christ? This is the state where individuals who have come to believe in the Gospel of Christ, dwell together in harmony or unity, with the understanding that they are both under the same master. This doesn't deny the fact that we may have some certain differences in understanding or dealings but we are united in Doctrine, in Mind and in Faith.   What unite us together? In the context of Christianity, the essence of our unity is the CHRIST factor, all because we are bought by the same blood, and particularly the Spirit of Christ dwells in us. This is the foundation we must lay, before we begin to build anyother thing on it. Another thing that unites us together is the word of God, so, if you want to know whether...

The Good and Godly

In today's society, it's easy to confuse being a "good person" with being a "godly person." While both may exhibit positive traits, there's a fundamental difference between the two. The Good Person A "good person" is formed by morality and ethics, shaped by their education and societal influences. They may be kind, compassionate, and law-abiding, but their actions are ultimately driven by a desire to please themselves or others. The Godly Person In contrast, a "godly person" is shaped by God's Word, with a renewed mind and guided by the Spirit. They prioritize pleasing God, not society or themselves. Their actions are motivated by a deep reverence for God's love, not fear of punishment. Characteristics of a Godly Person - Seeks to emulate God's love, mercy, and forgiveness - Extends kindness, compassion, and support to others - Has a supernatural ability to achieve God-like character - Has only one problem: their God, beca...

GOD: A CONTROVERSIAL WORD.

Introduction There are many religions on the planet with different notions about God which has become a source of confusion among religious people. There are some people who argue that all religions are the same, and we are worshiping the same God. Are all religions the same? Are we worshiping the same God? What does the word “God” mean? In this article, I discuss the origin of religion, the different worldviews, the confusion about the Ultimate Reality, and the controversy about the word “God”. The fact here is that, in some religions, there is no god to worship, because there is nothing there to point to as God. And again, When some one says, he or she believes in God, that doesn`t mean both of you are serving or worshiping the same God. The only way both of you serve or worship the same "God" is when both of your ideas, notions, and concepts about the word "God" are the same. So this article is about understanding the word “God” and how controversial the word “Go...

A Call to Vigilance in Our Christian Journey

As Christians, we are called to walk circumspectly, cautiously, and vigilantly, ever mindful of our steps and our destination. In Ephesians 5:15, we are exhorted to "see then that ye walk circumspectly," or as Conybeare and Howson render it, "See then that ye walk without stumbling." The Danger of Carelessness Carelessness and indolence are destructive to our spirituality, causing us to stumble and lose our way. We begin our Christian walk with diligence and carefulness, but soon become complacent and neglectful. We lose interest in things that once stirred our passion, and our faith grows weak. The Importance of Diligence and Determination To avoid this pitfall, we must cultivate diligence and determination in our Christian journey. We must seize every opportunity to make progress, to pray, to read, to love God and others more. We must keep our eyes fixed on our eternal home, our mansion in heaven, and let nothing hinder us on our journey. The Power of Faith Faith ...

The Power of the Christian Faith

The Christian faith is more than just a set of beliefs or rules - it's a relationship with a Person who invites us into His family. It's a journey from time into eternity, where we'll dwell with Him forever. But to navigate this journey, we need an external force and help to succeed. What is Power?  Power is often defined as the ability to do work, but in the context of Scripture, it can also refer to a Force or a Person. In Acts 1:8, the Holy Spirit is described as a Power that comes upon us, enabling us to be witnesses for Christ. Who gives Power? Power can come from three sources: God, the devil, or man. However, as Christians, we know that true power comes from God through Jesus Christ. We administer this power, but it's not our own ability - it's a gift from our Lord. Why Do We Need Power? We need power for various reasons: - To witness Christ boldly and authentically - For deliverance from sin, sickness, evil thoughts, curses, and death - To accomplish the imp...
